John Denver, a singer-songwriter of Colorado who was a specialist in folk pop music has touched the hearts of millions. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell new Mexico, but fell in love Colorado. The singer-songwriter eventually moved to Aspen. Denver's national anthems to his adopted state have attracted many people to Colorado. G. Brown of Colorado Music Hall of Fame, the hall's curator of fame said: "I don't believe there is another performer that embodies Colorado in the same way as John Denver." Denver was the one of the first Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. Denver has become the image of Colorado to many across the globe. Through my travels I've had the pleasure of meeting individuals from New Zealand or the other side. When you tell them you're from Colorado the first words they'll use are"Oh John Denver. Brown said. Denver's debut Top 10 hit as a solo artist following a brief time in folk-based group was Take Me Home Country Roads composed by Bill Danoff. Danoff composed the song to Johnny Cash but Denver recognized its potential after hearing it first.
